Dan Rubin

Dan works with clients in the Consumer and other industries to place the right leaders, in the right roles, at the right time. He has deep experience within the Retail and Consumer Goods sectors, as well as expertise with General Management and Human Resources leaders. Dan also helps clients to understand the strategic implications of leadership decisions, emphasizing that no decisions--placement or otherwise--are made in a vacuum.

Before joining FSP, Dan held several leadership roles in prominent Search and Consulting firms, serving as a Partner, Account Leader, and Business Unit Leader. He has worked with and placed leaders within clients across diverse industries, including the world’s largest publicly traded employer, other Fortune 500 companies, and emerging start-ups.

Having previously lived in London, Dan has extensive experience working with organizations throughout Europe. He is a frequent contributor to thought leadership on critical industry issues and a regular presenter at major industry conferences.

Dan holds an MBA with Distinction (emphases in Organizational Behavior and Operations Management) from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and a BA in Journalism (minor in Mathematics) from The Ohio State University. Dan lives outside of Chicago with his wife Rory and dog Lenny. Their daughter Cassie lives in Vermont as a paramedic/aspiring physician's assistant, and their son Shaun is studying architecture at the University of Kansas.  When not placing executives, Dan is a home cook and also loves to golf, play the saxophone, and take care of his saltwater aquarium.
